The patient was found to have arrested dilation and was typed and screened and consented for a low transverse cesarean section. The
patient was taken to the operating room where she was delivered of a viable male infant with Apgar scores of 8 and 9 and cord blood gas of 7.312
pH.
The left ovarian mass was dissected out. It consisted in appearance of a simple cyst with no surface papillation. It was sent to Pathology for analysis.
